Reflecting on a Navy career that provided the chance to serve on the waters of the Arctic Circle and help cultivate a new generation of military leaders and service members, Lt. Cmdr. Lauren Schmiegel-Luvera shared appreciation for the people in Lancaster who helped chart a course for her professional life. 

The cafeteria at Como Park Elementary School was buzzing as students enjoyed the school’s annual Harvest Tasting Day with Farmer Marcinelli, which encourages healthy eating habits and a connection to how fruits and vegetables are grown.

Staff at the Lancaster Central School District had the opportunity to reflect on the impact they have on students as they took part in the annual Legendary Day of Learning.

Starting her work as the first student to ever serve on the Lancaster Central School District Board of Education, Michaela Innus said she looked forward to sharing her pride in Lancaster and bringing a student perspective to the Board’s work.
